Brenna Lundquist

Technology Biography:

Brenna was introduced to computer science at a young age through family that worked in the field. She was encouraged to take coding courses through a youth program. Throughout elementary and middle school, she explored a variety of extracurriculars.

During grades 9-10 while at Austin High School, she was a member of the Student Council, highly involved in the local musical community, played soccer, and was a member of Girls Who Code. She also challenged herself academically by taking all honors and AP classes. Brenna’s group project in Girls Who Code, won “Judge’s Favorite” in their category in Spring of 2025.  She was also heavily involved in MNAiC, participating in many events held throughout the year, and winning both a Rising Star award and the Technology Exploration award last year.

Over the past summer she moved and now attends Champlin Park High School in the Twin Cities. This year, she was inducted into the National Honor Society, participated in marching band, played soccer, and joined LEO Club (a community service club). Her only regular class at Champlin Park is band, as she’s concurrently enrolled at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus through the PSEO program as a Junior in the very competitive program.

Brenna’s future plans include higher education and attaining a degree at the college level. She doesn’t really know the exact career path she wants to pursue, but she does want to do something in a STEM field. She would like to study projects that blend science and technology, with a focus on helping others, something she’s very passionate about through her social service projects.
